To provide an antenna for lower antenna resonance frequency and a wider frequency characteristic, stabilizes impedance characteristic and enhances a degree of freedom in design.
A conductor plate 12 is connected to a conductor earth plate 11 via a metallic wire 14 and energized from a feeding point 15 via a metallic wire 13. One end of a conductor wall 16 is electrically connected to the conductor plate 12. An electromagnetic field coupling adjustment plate 17 is electrically connected to the conductor earth plate 11 at a prescribed air gap to form a capacitor between itself and the conductor earth plate 11. The conductor wall 16 and the electromagnetic filed coupling adjustment plate 17 are placed in this case so that a longer path length from a short-circuit section of the metallic wire 14 connected to the conductor plate 12 until an open end of the electromagnetic field coupling adjustment plate 17 can be obtained. Preferably, the length of a current path from the feeding section of the metallic wire 13 connected to the conductor plate 12 to the short-circuit section is a 1/2 wavelength with respect to the desired resonance frequency.
