Abstract:

To provide an antenna selection method for mobile communications equipment, in which downlink data from a base station are prevented from being omitted, even if a signal is interrupted while in communication.

When communication between the base station and a mobile phone adopting the CDMA communication system is interrupted, the mobile phone controls selection of antenna, depending on the received power strength of a plurality of antennas. As an example, the mobile phone selects the antenna, in response to revision of a channel between the mobile phone and the base station. In another method, the mobile phone selects the antenna, in response to stop of transmission data. Thus, the downlink data from the base station takes place are prevented from being omitted.
