PURPOSE: To obtain an antenna in common use for right and left rotatary circularly polarized wave capable of being mounted on a wall face of a building with thin profile, light weight and low cost by designing a traveling wave type antenna so that different circularly polarized waves are extracted from feeding terminals at both ends.
CONSTITUTION: The antenna has an arranging pattern for arrays provided in axis symmetry with respect to a symmetrical axis A-A'. Radiation element arrays 2 are broad side arrays and the direction of peak of a beam is directed vertically to a plane including the arrays. Feeding terminals 3a, 3b are arranged at both ends of the radiation element arrays 2 while having the symmetrical axis A-A' inbetween. A hole is made to each dielectric base near the feeding terminals 3a, 3b and a lead wire is connected to receivers 4a, 4b respectively through the hole. The right/left rotatary circularly polarized waves received by the radiation arrays 2 are extracted separately at the feeding terminals 3a, 3b and led to the receivers 4a, 4b. When the right/left rotatary circularly polarized waves are sent simultaneously, an output is obtained at both the receivers 4a and 4b.
