Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make an electronic device employing the antenna small in size and light in weight by directly metallizing an antenna element and a feeding part onto an antenna support molded from a plastic material. CONSTITUTION: The antenna 10 comprises a truncated conical shaped antenna support 12 molded from a plastic material, an antenna element provided to an outer side of the antenna support 12 and a feeding part 18. The antenna element comprises a conductor spiral wire 70 provided to an outer side wall 14 of the antenna support 12 and a ring shaped ground plane 72 provided to a bottom side of the antenna support 12. One end of the conductor wire 70 and the feeding part 18 are integrally metallized to the antenna support 12 continuously and the ground plane 72 is also metallized. Thus, the antenna element, the feeding part, a balance-unbalance conversion circuit and an amplifier or the like are integrated and the electronic device employing the antenna is made small in size and light in weight.
