PURPOSE: To obtain an antenna in which the directional accuracy and the shape of a beam are not deteriorated even in case of wide angle beam scanning.
CONSTITUTION: The antenna comprises a correction memory 9 storing a weight data for forming a receiving beam depending on the direction thereof. Based on the directional information received from a beam direction indicator 5, a beam forming unit 10 calculates a weight corresponding to the directional information of the receiving beam and then calculates a beam formation weight based on the calculated weight and a weight data for forming a receiving beam corresponding to the directionthere of obtained from the correction weight memory 9. The receiving beam is then formed in a desired direction based on the beam formation weight and signals from N receivers.
