To provide an anthocyanin-containing composition improving in vivo absorbency of anthocyanin in order to enhance in vivo absorbency of anthocyanin with low bioavailability, to make anthocyanin effectively absorbed in vivo, and to exert sufficient biological activity by lower dosage of anthocyanin.
This anthocyanin absorption promoting composition is obtained by mixing an anthocyanin-containing material and at least one of an unsaturated fatty acid with 14 or more carbons and edible oil including the unsaturated fatty acid, where the unsaturated fatty acid with 14 or more carbons is selected from myristoleic acid, palmitoleic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid, and the edible oil is selected from rice germ oil, linseed oil, perilla oil and fish oil.
