NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI(U, V, W, X, Y and Z are H, fluoro, chloro, bromo, iodo, OH, ≤8C alkoxyl, acetoxyl or cyano).
EXAMPLE: 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10-Hexamethoxy-2, 3: 6, 7-anthracenetetracarboxylic acid dianhydride.
USE: A raw material for preparing high polymeric condensed polycyclic compounds, e.g. a raw material for preparing compounds of formula II useful as a high polymeric electron material. Ladder type high polymeric condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon compounds, e.g. heptacene, and further many useful high polymers can be easily obtained from the compound of formulaI.
PROCESS: A compound of formula III and a compound of formula IV are reacted with H2SO4, and the resultant compound is then treated with KMnO4, NaOH and HCl according to the reaction formulas, reacted with SOCl2 and treated with Li2O to afford the aimed compound, e.g. a compound of formula V.
