Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive carpet capable of efficiently reducing the amount of an allergen produced from the carpet, demonstrating an allergen reducing performance more excellently than before, and being used safely even by an allergic disease patient.

In the carpet composed of pile thread, a foundation and a backing layer, a solution containing a binder resin, a penetrant and an allergen adsorbent composed of a clay mineral is applied at least to the pile thread side surface of the foundation, it is heated and dried to fix the allergen adsorbent composed of the clay mineral, the pile thread is tufted to the foundation, and the pile thread and the foundation are fixed by the backing layer.
