Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-corrosion covering applied when a cast iron underground pipe connected by an electrical insulated pipe joint is probed through electromagnetic induction type from the ground over its long distance.SOLUTION: A flexible anti-corrosion covering includes a polyethylene sleeve into which an underground pipe 1 is inserted; the first aluminum conductive layer formed on its outer surface and the second anti-corrosion conductive layer covering the first conductive layer air-tightly together with the sleeve. The second conductive layer is composed of mixture of carbon particles and rubber. An end part 21a of one covering 2a is inserted into the folded end part 21b of the other covering 2b, the second conductive layer 5b1 at the folded end part 21b of the other covering is contacted with the surface of the second conductive layer 5a at the end part 21a of one covering at this folded longitudinal area 18 to make an electrical connection and bound by a constraint member 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
