Abstract:
To provide an anti-explosion pad used for protecting a structure susceptible to damage due to explosion.
This high-performance anti-explosion pad includes a multi-layer of expanded metal nets 3, 4 separated by a core layer 5 of porous material such as fiber glass, cotton batting or an assembly of miniature ellipsoids or balls formed by expanded metal nets. A wall or the other structural elements are covered with the above pad, whereby the shock waves or thermal effect of a close range bomb explosion can be effectively dissipated.
