Abstract:
PURPOSE: To omit the processing that requires the consciousness of the LAN adaptor switching for a group of work station which have access to an anti-fault system via its OS and a LAN network by using an input/output processor to perform the switching of a LAN of a redundant constitution in its fault state.
CONSTITUTION: An input/output processor 10 stores only one address in an address storing means 11 in order to transmit and receive the data via a LAN 2. A LAN adaptor monitoring/switching means 12 sets the LAN address stored in the means 11 to a LAN adaptor 20 and actuates this adaptor. Then the means 12 monitors the adaptor 20 and then isolates it when a fault is detected. Then the LAN address stored in the means 11 is set to a LAN adaptor 30, and the adaptor 30 is actuated.
