Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide freeze-preventing and heat-retaining mats 10, 20, 30 which are low in manufacturing cost and running cost and do not require a boiler or a water heater.SOLUTION: An LED chip 12a of a belt-like heating element 12 melts the snow accumulated on the surface of a mat body 11 with the heat generated during lighting, or prevents the melted snow water and the rainwater adhering to the mat body 11 from freezing. Since the power consumption of the LED chip 12a as a heat source is extremely small and there is no risk of overheating, the LED chip 12a can be turned on by a power supply circuit 12c having a simple circuit configuration. Therefore, manufacturing cost and running cost can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
