To provide a skin external agent and a food or beverage containing an anti-inflammatory agent containing at least any one of nitrogen monoxide(NO) production-inhibitor and a cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, an anti-aging agent containing at least any one selected from a collagen synthesis-promoter, an estrogen like active substance and a hyaluronic acid synthesis-promoter, and an extract of Butea monosperma (Lam.) Taub. of Leguminosae.

This anti-inflammatory agent contains the extract of Butea monosperma (Lam.) Taub. of Leguminosae. Preferably, a form of the extract of the Butea monosperma (Lam.) Taub. of Leguminosae contains at least any one of nitrogen monoxide (NO) production-inhibitor and a cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor. The anti-aging agent contains the extract of the Butea monosperma (Lam.) Taub. of Leguminosae. Preferably, a form of the extract of the Butea monosperma (Lam.) Taub. of Leguminosae contains at least any one selected from a collagen synthesis-promoter, an estrogen like active substance and a hyaluronic acid synthesis-promoter.
