Abstract:
To provide an antiviral agent, particularly that for influenzavirus which is a new application of the leaf of Myrica rubra, and to provide the antiviral agent-containing various products (foods, feedstuffs, medical drugs, quasi drugs and daily goods).
This antiviral agent contains the solvent extract of Myrica rubra, preferably of the leaves thereof as an effective component. Further, various products effective for prevention of influenza infection or symptom are prepared by compounding the solvent extract of Myrica rubra, particularly the leaves thereof in various commodities such as foods, feedstuffs, medical drugs, quasi drugs or daily goods.
