Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the stability in braking on the road surface whose friction coefficiency is ununiform by controlling braking force so as to cancel wheel lock when the given conditions are satisfied, while the speed of the rear wheel lower in speed has a tendency to be locked and the speed of the other rear wheel is lower than that of the front wheel. CONSTITUTION:Two hydraulic systems from a master cylinder 5 are connected to the wheel cylinders 1 and 2 of the respective front wheels through solenoid valves A1 and B1 and to the wheel cylinders 4 and 3 of the respective rear wheels through proportioning valve PV1 and PV2 respectively. And the hydraulic fluid of the wheel cylinders 1 and 4 and that of the wheel cylinders 2 and 3 are discharged to a reservoir tank 7 through solenoid valves A2 and B2 respectively. In this case, while the speed of the rear wheel lower in speed is discriminated to have a tendency to be locked and the speed of the other rear wheel is lower than that of the front wheels, if the weighted average value of the speed of the front and rear wheels falls down to values not more than the given value, braking force is controlled to cancel wheel lock.
