Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-polyubiquitin antibody and a method for using the anti-polyubiquitin antibody.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, an isolated antibody that specifically binds to a first polyubiquitin comprising a C-terminal to N-terminal linkage. Here, the antibody does not specifically bind to a second polyubiquitin comprising a lysine linkage. The antibody does not specifically bind to monoubiquitin but binds to the second polyubiquitin with a significantly reduced binding affinity compared to the binding affinity for the first polyubiquitin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
