Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale inhibitor which effectively inhibits scales from being stuck to the wall surface of a pipeline, a heat exchanger or the like.SOLUTION: The scale inhibitor contains a phosphonic acid compound and two kinds of copolymers each containing at least a polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer as a constituent unit. At least one copolymer B being at least one of two kinds of copolymers has 10-90 mol% of the content of the polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer. The phosphonic acid compound is 2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid or its salt or 1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid or its salt.SELECTED DRAWING: None
