To provide an anti-skid device for an automobile tire which enables the rotation of a fastening mechanism to be operated lightly.
The anti-skid device for an automobile tire includes anti-skid strips 11, which are constituted by forming fastening band sections 15 integrally at tire outer wheel side of anti-skid bodies 12, 13 so as to connect both ends in the longitudinal direction of the anti-skid bodies, by arranging the anti-skid bodies in the longitudinal direction, and by connecting the tire outer and inner side ends adjacent mutually with connection members 14, and fastening mechanisms 23, which are provided between fastening end portions 25 on the tire outer wheel side and inner wheel side of the anti-skid strips so as to pull opposing fastening end portions nearer and to fasten them together by the rotation operation of the fastening mechanisms. In this device, spaces between end portions of the fastening band sections constituting the fastening end portions and the tire outer wheel side portions at the end edges in the longitudinal direction of the anti-skid bodies are separated so as to be connected displaceably by connection members 26.
