In the anti-skid device in which the cross bar 2a crosses the ground contact surface of the tire T and a plurality of the cross bars are arrayed at an interval in the circumferential direction of the tire, a ground contact member 31 is mounted on the cross bar, and the ground contact member is configured to protrude to the outside opposite to the tire side of the cross bar and to be abraded and worn by contacting with the road surface without any ice and snow layer. The ground contact member can be removed from the cross bar. The ground contact member mounted on the cross bar is configured to be replaced by a new one when the amount of wear is increased. The cross bar with the ground contact member is configured to form a step part 36 in a longitudinal direction and to carry out the anti-skid operation of the automobile in the lateral direction in the step part.
