To provide a vibration prevention device and a vibration prevention method capable of improving vibration reduction performance.SOLUTION: A computer 204 of a vibration prevention device 200 includes: a command value calculation part 260 for calculating an operation instruction value of an actuator 210 from rotation information of a driving source 12; and a contact determination part 308 for determining the presence/absence of contact between a stopper 226 and a holder part 224.
