To provide a new safe antiallergic agent, histamine release inhibitor or cosmetic composition.
An antiallergic agent, histamine release inhibitor or cosmetic composition contains the extract of one or more plants selected from Agave sisalana Perr.; A.rigida Mill., Agave americana L. and Forsythia suspensa Vahl. The agents have a histamine release-inhibiting action, and can be used for preventing and treating skins and scalps having allergic dermatitis diseases (for example, flare, eczema, dropsy and swelling) and troubles such as atopic dermatitis, skin roughness and dry skins. The plant extract can further be utilized for other general foods.
