PURPOSE: To obtain an antiallergic agent having high antiallergic action and anti-inflammatory action, comprising a specific phenylacetic acid derivative as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: An antiallergic agent comprising a phenylacetic acid derivative shown by the formula (R is H or lower alkyl) as an active ingredient. A dose of the compound shown by the formula is 1mg-100mg, preferably 10mg-30mg per adult daily in the case of oral administration and administered once-several times daily. Oral administration is preferable as medication and formulation is carried out by a conventional procedure. A carrier for formulation is obtained by adding a lubricant such as lactose, sorbitol or mannitol. Preferable dosage form is tablet, capsule, granule, etc.
