Abstract:

PURPOSE: An antiallergic agent containing a pyrimidine derivative or its salt as active ingredient.

CONSTITUTION: An antiallergic agent containing a compound shown by the formula (R1 and R2 are lower alkyl; R3 is aryl which may be replaced with lower alkoxy; R4 is lower alkyl, aryl or aralkyl) or its salt [e.g., 3,4-dihydro-6-(3, 4-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-ethyl-3-methyl-4-(2,4,6-trimethylphenylimino)-2-(1H) -pyrimidinone, etc.,] as an active ingredient. This extremely suppresses effects of leukotriene of slow reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A) derived from arachidonic acid and a certain compound significantly inhibits systemic anaphy laxis and effective for preventing and remedying various allergic diseases.
