Abstract:

To provide a new angiogenesis inhibitor acting in a mechanism independent of actions of vascular endothelial cell and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and a method for screening a new angiogenesis inhibitor acting in a new mechanism.

The angiogenesis inhibitor includes a substance having a TEM7R inhibitory action as an active ingredient. The method for screening a new angiogenesis inhibitor includes using a TEM7R inhibitory action by expression inhibition of ten7r gene or function inhibition of TEM7R by making a candidate compound have an interaction with TEM7R.
