To obtain antibacterial ceramic powder capable of easy mixing with synthetic resin stock or paper stock forming a food packing material or capable of printing or sticking by coating by sintering SiC, Al2O3, ZnO and TiO2 in a specified ratio and imparting a prescribed particle diameter.
This antibacterial ceramic powder is obtd. by sintering 30-50wt.% SiC or SiO2 1A, 20-40wt.% Al2O3 1B, 9-20wt.% ZnO 1C and 3-8wt.% TiO2 1D and imparting ≤0.1μm particle diameter. Food packed using this ceramic powder can safely be kept antistatic over a long period of time. In this ceramic powder, SiC or SiO2 and Al2O3 are ceramics radiating electromagnetic waves which resonate and excite molecules of water forming bacteria and environmental water necessary for the propagation of bacteria and convert the water into modified water in which bacteria cannot live and ZnO and TiO2 generate free active oxygen having high sterilizing power.
