One end of an antibacterial material of short natural, synthetic, carbon fibers, or of whiskers 1 having continuous copper or silver surface is exposed to a surface layer 2 of plastic or rubber to be fixed. The short fibers existing in the surface layer release ions gradually to demonstrate an antibacterial function permanently by so-called gradual release effects, and the antibacterial effect is kept over a long period with little affection of friction and good durability.
