To provide an antibacterial hair curler made by integrating piled fabric with engaging elements with the surface of a cylindrical body, which can suppress growth of miscellaneous bacteria and be used for a long time, by giving antibacterial properties to at least either of fiber composing the engaging elements or the ground fabric of the pile fabric.
Piled fabric 2 with a number of engaging elements 1 is weaved with a 220d nylon monofilament. The engaging elements 1 are formed by cutting and opening loops set standing on a ground fabric 3 of the piled fabric. This hair curler is composed by bonding such piled fabric onto the surface of a lattice-like cylindrical body 4. In that case, a nylon monofilament with antibacterial properties given by blending 2wt.% of ceramics particles on which silver is supported is used. The piled fabric is weaved, for instance, so as to arrange a conductive fiber 5 consisting of a 100d/24f nylon multifilament at 12mm intervals to give electricity controllability.
