Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial ionizing-radiation-curable coating material which can form a hard coating film satisfactory in both clarity and antibacterial properties and an antibacterial clear film using the same.
SOLUTION: An antibacterial clear film is obtd. by forming an antibacterial layer 4 comprising a carboxylated (meth)acrylate resin and ultrafine zinc oxide particles dispersed therein as an antibacterial ultrafine particles on a clear plastic film substrate 3. The zinc oxide particles pref. have particle sizes of 10-500nm, and the amt. of the particles dispersed is pref. 5-600 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. resin. The antibacterial film is, for instance, stuck to a touch panel with an adhesive layer to form the surface layer of the panel. An antibacterial clear film shown by the figure is an example wherein ultrafine zinc oxide particles are concentrated at the upper part of an antibacterial layer 4 and are exposed to the outside of further enhance the antibacterial effects.
