Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial metal article capable of exerting excellent antibacterial properties.SOLUTION: An antibacterial metal article includes, at least on one surface of a metal member, a minute protrusion structure composed of at least one kind of metal or metallic compound. The minute protrusion structure includes a plurality of minute protrusions of 50 nm or higher arranged thereon. An average dis 90-500 nm with regard to distances d between respective neighboring minute protrusions. An average aspect ratio (h/w) of the minute protrusions is 0.7-6.25 when regulated by a ratio of an average hof heights h of the minute protrusions and an average wof widths w of the minute protrusions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
