To provide a container excellent in antibacterial action, its durability and safety by using a paper containing a polymer material containing antibacterial components.
A polymer material containing antibacterial components preferably includes a polymer type antibacterial material containing a monomer with antibacterial portions in the molecules as a copolymer component. Above all, a polyester is preferable, which mainly consists of dicarboxylic acid component and glycol component, and contains phosphonium salt of bifunctional aromatic compound containing sulfonic acid group to be expressed by the formula (in the formula, A denotes aromatic group, X1, X2 denote ester-forming functional group, R1, R2, R3, R4 denote alkyl group, and at least one of them is alkyl group of 10-20 in carbon number). The polymer material is contained in a paper using an arbitrary method including a method to apply or impregnate this polymer material, and a method to mix the granular or fibrous polymer material in making papers. Saprophytic bacteria can be prevented from being reproduced in a paper container formed of such a paper.
