Abstract:
To prepare the subject sheet useful for improving quality keeping of a food such as a perishable food and free from giving ill effect on a human body by applying a cyclodextrin adduct of an antibacterial component on a water-absorbing sheet under specific conditions.
A cyclodextrin adduct of an antibacterial component having antibacterial activity and volatility such as an isocyanic acid ester, and calcium particles are dispersed in a mixed liquid prepared by mixing a natural resin binder to an alcoholic solvent, and the obtained suspension is applied to a water- absorbing sheet member. This process affords a water-absorbing sheet preferable in view of food sanitation by evenly applying the cyclodextrin adduct.
