Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The antibiotic TAN-1289 having the following physicochemical properties as dihydrochloride: Appearance, white powder; molecular formula, C43H69N13O15.2HCl; color reaction, positive to ninhydrin, Barton and Sakaguchi reaction and negative to Dragendorff reaction and Ehrlich's reaction; properties, neutral substance (free body is water soluble basic substance).
USE: A remedy for infectious disease.
PREPARATION: A microorganism belonging to the genus Lysobacter such as Lysobacter esp.-PK-232 (FERM P-11136) is cultured, preferably at 17-30°C and pH 5-8 for 24-144hr.
