Abstract:
To provide a defoaming agent composition which is excellent in both defoaming properties of initial defoaming property and defoaming persistence after being added to a foaming liquid and which can sufficiently suppress the reduction of the sizing property of obtained paper pulp in addition to the defoaming property when being used as a defoaming agent for a papermaking process in a pulp and paper manufacturing industry.SOLUTION: In a defoaming agent composition containing at least one kind of an amine-based compound selected from a group consisting of a monoamine compound, a polyamine compound and their quaternized derivatives, at least one group represented by general formula (1): -(AO)-C(=O)-R(1) is bonded with at least one nitrogen atom in the amine-based compounds (where, Ris a 7-25C monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may have an OH group; AO is a 2-4C alkyleneoxy group; a is the repeating unit number of AO and an integer of 1-100; and a plurality of AO may be the same or different when a is 2 or more).SELECTED DRAWING: None
