To provide an antifouling agent composition capable of reducing an amount of an antifouling agent to be used, capable of preventing environmental pollution, and having high orientedness to health.
This antifouling agent composition contains (A) a low-molecular weight polymer and (B) the antifouling agent, wherein the low-molecular weight polymer (A) is formed by (co)polymerizing a (meth)acrylic acid monomer or a derivative thereof and, if necessary, an unsaturated vinyl monomer and satisfies requisites (1) to (3) as follows: (1) a number-average molecular weight Mn of the polymer (A) is 500-10,000 according to molecular weight measurement through high-performance liquid chromatography by using polystyrene as a standard; (2) a weight-average molecular weight Mw of the polymer (A) is 1,000-20,000 according to the molecular weight measurement through the high-performance liquid chromatography by using the polystyrene as the standard; and (3) viscosity of a 50% xylene solution of the polymer (A) is 10-200 (mPa×s) at 25°C measured by a viscometer (E-type viscometer). An antifouling film excellent in antifouling properties is formed by using the composition. A fishing net retains an excellent antifouling effect for a long period, when coated with the composition.
