Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, excellent in coating film properties and resistance to water, and keeping stable antifouling performance for extended periods by including a specific organosilicon compound in a polymer containing organic silicon.
SOLUTION: This composition uses, as the vehicle, (A) a polymer containing organic silicon having a tri-organosilicon ester group, shown by Formula I (R1 to R3 are each a 1-18C alkyl, aryl or the like, wherein at least one of R1 to R3 has a carbon number of 3 or more), and also contains an organosilicon compound shown by formula II [R4 to R8 are each R1, wherein a total carbon number of R4 to R8 is 6 or more; R9 is H, hydroxyl or the like; and (n) is 0 or 1]. The component A includes (meth)acrylic ester copolymer having a group shown by formula I. The component B includes tri-n-propylsilanol, and preferably a liquid or solid having a boiling point of 150°C or more at normal pressure. It is preferable to use the component B at 0.1 to 20 wt.% on the solid in the coating material.
