PURPOSE: To provide the titled paint containing a specific urea compound as an active antifouling component, having excellent antifouling effect against fouling marine animals or vegetables, and exhibiting remarkable inhibiting effect to the adhesion of slime to which conventional antifouling is ineffective.

CONSTITUTION: The objective paint contains the urea compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are H, CH3, OCH3 or group of formula II or formula III; X1 and X2 are H, CH3 or halogen) [preferably 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,1-dimethylurea of formula IV, 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-methoxy-1-methylurea of formula V, 1-(2-methylcyclohexyl)-3-phenylurea of formula VI or 1-(α,α-dimethylbenzyl)-3-p-tolylurea of formula VII] as an active antifouling component. The content of the antifouling component is preferably 3W50wt% based on the solid component of the paint.
