To provide an antifouling coating material composition capable of forming a coating film having an excellent crack resistance and release resistance under dried conditions.
The antifouling coating material composition includes a coating film-forming copolymer having 20 to 65% by weight component unit derived from a trialkylsilyl ester of polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid and having 1,000 to 50,000 number-average molecular weight and zinc oxide in an amount of 1 to 1,000 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of coating film-forming copolymer. The coating film is formed of the antifouling coating material composition. The antifouling method comprises using the antifouling coating material composition. The ship body or underwater structure is coated with the coating film.
