Title:
ANTIFOULING PAINTING METHOD FOR FRP HULL AND ANTIFOULING FRP HULL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07315282
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent organism adhesion to an FRP hull without causing any public pollution such as ocean environmental pollution and any complex maintenance.

CONSTITUTION: To a bottom of an FRP hull, chlorinated rubber-based paint containing a plasticizer is applied at thikness of 75-125μm as an undercoat. After naturally drying it, silicone resin-based paint is applied at thickness of 100-150μm as main coating. In this way, a surface conditioning agent can be positively orientated to the coating surface for improving antifouling effect on the hull while securing an adhesive characteristic of the silicone resin-based paint, which is provided with an antipollution characteristic and excellent antifouling effect, to the FRP hull, and a ship speed can be remarkably enhanced.
