To provide an antiglare film which can effectively prevent reflection of external light and fall of contrast without reducing clearness of a high definition image by miniaturization of pixel size or the like and on which a desired fine rugged shape is effectively and stably formed with sufficient productivity, to provide a manufacturing method of the antiglare film and further to provide an antiglare antireflection film, a polarizing plate and a display apparatus using the antiglare film.

In the manufacturing method of the antiglare film, after primary processing where a plurality of convex shapes that are dispersed and do not cover whole surface of a supporting body are formed on the supporting body, secondary processing where a coating solution is applied on the surface where the convex shapes are formed so as to cover the whole surface and then is dried or hardened, is performed to form the rugged shape on its surface according to arrangement of convex shapes of the primary processing.
