Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional antibacterial agent using fine fibrous cellulose and metal microparticles, that the metal microparticles may aggregate, preventing uniform dispersion or necessitating addition of a large quantity of metal microparticles.SOLUTION: Antibacterial fine cellulose is produced by reducing and precipitating metal microparticles comprising one or more kind of metal such as silver, or a chemical compound thereof, on fine cellulose having a carboxyl group on a crystal surface.
