PURPOSE: To obtain the subject coating material containing a specific antimicrobial and antifungal component, PE wax fine particles and a two-part type acrylic-modified urethane-based coating material in a specific proportion, having high antimicrobial and antifungal properties and excellent in adhesion, drying properties, etc., for woodworking coating.

CONSTITUTION: This antimicrobial coating for a fancy plywood comprises (A) an antimicrobial and antifungal component consisting essentially of at least one antimicrobial and antifungal substance comprising at least one and/or plural antimicrobial ionic sources selected from the group consisting of silver, zinc and metallic compounds thereof and a zirconium phosphate ceramic material adsorbing and supporting antimicrobial ions thereon, (B) PE wax fine particles having ≤3μm average particle diameter, (C) a two-part type acrylic-modified urethane-based coating and (D) a thinner. The amount of the contained component (A) is preferably 0.1-3 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total amount of the components (B) and (C) and the component (B) is preferably used at (0.05/1) to (1/1) ratio of the components (A)/(B).
