To provide an antimicrobial coating which has improved abilities such as an antimicrobial activity and a deodorizing ability, high physical mechanical strength, improved coating surface appearances, improved hand touches, after coated, and uses a biologically oriented calcium raw material, and to provide a method for producing the same.
The antimicrobial coating produced by mixing coating raw materials with a powdery antimicrobial agent, and the method for producing the same are provided. The powdery antimicrobial agent comprises calcium hydroxide, boron and iron. The content of the boron is ≥0.05 mass% per the total mass of the powdery antimicrobial agent. The content of the iron is <0.8 mass% per the total mass of the powdery antimicrobial agent. The mixing rate of the powdery antimicrobial agent is 10 to 25 mass% per the total mass of the antimicrobial coating. The method for producing the antimicrobial coating, comprising mixing the coating raw materials with the powdery antimicrobial agent, is characterized by including a process for adding water, or an organic solvent-based thinning liquid in a suitable amount responding to the coating raw materials, simultaneously mixing and kneading the mixture with high speed agitation, and sufficiently causing frictional heat generated by the mixing kneading with the high speed agitation to permeate in the whole body of the antimicrobial coating.
