Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial coating which is prepared by adding a phosphate soluble glass containing silver without ant adverse effect on the physical properties of the coating layer with practically no discoloration in the coating layer and is excellent in its antimicrobial performance as well as in resistances to heat, acid and alkali.
SOLUTION: (A) 0.5-2.0wt.% of a soluble glass powder containing 0.1-5.0wt.% of Ag2O and having particle sizes of ≤30μm is added to (B) a composition comprising 45-75mol% of P2O5, 35-55mol% of MgO and 5-20mol% of Al2O3.
