To obtain the subject antimicrobial cosmetic composition that has effect of prevention, disinfection and deodorization on microorganisms occurring on feet and is useful for improving skin anomaly by using a tea leave extract including catechin, tea-tree oil and thyme extract.

The objective antimicrobial cosmetic composition contains (A) 0.001-5 wt.% of tea extract containing catechin, (B) 0.001-1 wt.% of tea-tree oil and (C) 0.001-5 wt.% of thyme extract as essential ingredients. In a preferred embodiment, the component A is a plant extract containing catechin extracted from green tea leaves, the component B is a tea-tree oil containing ≥30 wt.% of terpine-4-ol and ≤15 wt.% of cineole and the component C is a plant extract containing thymol extracted from Thyme vulgaria or Thymus serpyllum Linne. This composition is used as a cosmetic in the form of a powdery preparation, a solution preparation, a gel preparation or the like.
