To provide a quaternary ammonium salt compound which can be used for a medicine as an antimicrobial agent, a quasi drug, a cosmetic and the like, which is blended in a material such as a rubber, a synthetic resin or the like and then formed, which can add antimicrobial capability to the material or a formed body, which is excellent in sustainability for water resistance, chemicals resistance, heat resistance and an antimicrobial efficiency.
A bis-type quaternary ammonium salt compound can improve heat resistance and add sustainability of antimicrobial activity by the antimicrobial layered silicate by being carried on the layered silicate. The antimicrobial activity is improved further by being blended with at least one (antimicrobial compound) of metal oxides selected from zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. An antimicrobial resin excellent in water resistance, chemicals resistance, heat resistance and the sustainability of antimicrobial efficiency by being blended with the antimicrobial layered silicate or the antimicrobial compound in a material such as a rubber, a synthetic resin or the like is provided.
