PURPOSE: To obtain an antimicrobial material having stable antimicrobial activities and further practicality.
CONSTITUTION: This antimicrobial material comprises silver-plated fibers in an amount of ≥1wt.% based on a substrate material. Fibers, coatings, etc., can be used as the substrate material and a practical product excellent in antimicrobial properties as clothes, beddings, filters, fishing nets, wall covering materials, the coatings, etc., can be produced.
