Title:
ANTIMICROBIAL PEPTIDES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3442824
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a peptide which is useful as an antimicrobial agent because of its excellent antimicrobial action including antimycotic one and with high safety.
CONSTITUTION: This antimicrobial peptide has following amino acid sequences (1), (2), (3) and (4): (1) Arg-Leu-Lys-Leu-Leu-Leu-Leu-Leu-Arg-Leu-Lys, (2) Arg- Leu-Lys-Leu-Leu-Leu-Leu-Arg-Leu-Lys, (3) Arg-Leu-Lys-Leu-Leu-Leu-Arg-Leu-Lys, and (4) Lys-Leu-Lys-Leu-Leu-Leu-Leu-Leu-Lys-Leu-Lys, and their amides and salts. Since these peptides have low molecular weights, it would scarcely become an antigen and the large-amount production can be done in high purity.
