To obtain a composition useful for medical treatment of especially human immunodeficiency viruses and other microbial infectious diseases in relation to the human immunodeficiency viruses by including Echinacea purpurea and Commiphora myrrha.

This composition contains (A) folic acid in an amount of about 2 to about 12% based on the weight, (B) water in an amount of about 20 to about 60% based on the weight and (C) (i) Echinacea purpurea and (ii) Commiphora myrrha in an amount of about 40 to about 60% based on the weight in about 1.2 to about 1.4 ratio of the ingredient (ii) to the ingredient (i). Furthermore, (D) benzalkonium chloride in an amount of about ≥0.02 and <0.26% based on the weight is preferably contained. For example, a part of a plant from the genus Echinacea of the family Asteraceae is preferably used as the component (i) and a substance separated, extracted and isolated from a part of a plant from the genus Commiphora is preferably used as the ingredient (ii).
