Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an antimicrobial repellent composition for harmful organism, exhibiting antimicrobial and repelling effects on a wide variety of harmful organisms, safe to men and beasts and having prolonged effect and high stability.
CONSTITUTION: This repellent composition is prepared by dissolving an active component consisting of chloroxylenol, sulfamethoxypyridazine and trimethoprim and/or ibermectin and a neutral dissolution assistant consisting of polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene glycol, isopropanol and acetic acid in purified and sterilized water. A synergistic effect is developed on the effects of individual components and the composition exhibits antimicrobial action on bacteria, fungi and agar at a small amount and repelling action on harmful insects, etc.
