To provide an antioxidant which is liquid at room temperature and does not solidify even at 0°C, which is easy to handle in a cold district and easy to operate its addition to fuel oil and lubricant, and which, moreover, does not practically contain 2,4,6-tri-t-butyl phenol which is indicated as harmful.
The antioxidant formulation comprises 30-90wt.% 2,4-dimethyl-6-t-butyl phenol and 10-70wt.% alkyl phenol represented by formula(1), provided in formula(1) that R1 and R2 are same or different and are each 1-18C hydrocarbon group, X indicates at least one kind of a bonding part or a substituent selected from groups of 1-22C hydrocarbon groups which may contain at least one kind of nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur and halogen atoms, ester groups, amide groups and sulfide groups, m and m' are same or different and are each 1 or 2, n and n' are same or different and are each 0 or an integer of 1-5, and s, t and u are same or different and are each 0 or an integer of 1-5, but at least two of them do not become 0 at the same time.
